Ok, finally got something done...though less of something than intended. I'll have to do some offline work or that. Pictures of the ferrets and their glorious eggs are finally up so I don't have to worry about that anymore.
Spring completely disappeared. Welcome to full-on Summer. I love KC weather. (Note the hint of sarcasm.) The dogs are complete psychos...well, 2 of them. Rain's suspiciously well-behaved and clingy. It's some sort of canine conspiracy, I'm sure of it.
Brenda came by to drop off some monkey stamps yesterday. The monkey thing...I'm still a little baffled as to how it's gotten to this point. Mix insomnia with artists' block and a frustration-born flying fez monkey. Add a coincidental flying monkey dream to the party of the second part. Then the monkey socks started arriving. From socks we went to pajamas. From pajamas to stuffed animals. Plushies to stamps. I always thought monkeys were cute (adorable even) but I never envisioned a collection coming from it. I do love my monkey stuff tho. However...thwap me senseless if I ever end up with a 1'+ ceramic monkey anywhere in my house. I don't want to be that
Outgrew that when I decided unless a pygmy marmoset suddenly needed a foster home I wasn't going to further consider being a monkey mom.
And now I'm wondering whatever happened to my monkey bank. My gramma got it for me AGES ago. Had little plastic wiggly eyes and a lockable metal cage. Probably got broken. *sigh* I distinctly remember having the cage for a long time but no monkey. Of course...it *could* be in a box somewhere...but I doubt it. The lock is in one of my jewelry boxes. Funny how you look at something almost every day but it loses its connections.
At any rate, it was good to see B again...even if I have the sinking feeling it's a need issue rather than a want one. I'll take it...all things considered she's good people. Everybody's got flaws. I'm sure my list is about a mile long. But I can break bandwidth in record time, baby! HAH!
